Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California presently owns the former lot of RKO. This means that the lot which Desilu bought in the late 1950s is still being used, only under the control of Paramount Studios.

LUCILLE BALL'S DRESSING ROOM
Lucille Ball's old dressing room on the Paramount lot. Lucy had it decorated on the exterior to remind her of her childhood home in Jamestown. Just down the corner to the right (not visible in the photograph) is Vivian Vance's old dressing room. These rooms were used mostly for The Lucy Show.

THE POND
When Lucie and Desi Arnaz Jr. would become bored having to cope with their parents working schedules, Desi Arnaz built a pond for his children on the Paramount lot. The pond is still there, but is currently a part of a section of the lot which is being renovated at this time.

IS THIS THE
INSPIRATION
FOR THE
'GRAPE STOMPING'
EPISODE?

At the San Gabriel Mission in California, the tour guide informed visitors that this specific location was where Lucy and Desi got an idea for one of their 'Italian' episodes of I Love Lucy. Supposedly, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz visited the Mission in the 1950s and were educated about the process of making wine at this very spot. This photo shows a small wine-vat. As you can see, several barrels are stored.

LUCY SHOW FILM LOCALE
The soundstages on the Paramount lot were once the soundstages of RKO. Evidently, when Desilu bought out RKO, these soundstages were used for various Lucy shows. Supposedly, stage 21 was one of the soundstages used on the lot, probably for The Lucy Show.
